The three coefficients that let a 60 kg lifter and a 120 kg lifter be compared on one scale.

How it is calculated

DOTS (2020) is the coefficient most federations moved to. Wilks (1994) is the one people still search for by name and still argue about. IPF GL points are what the International Powerlifting Federation uses for its own rankings; the coefficients here are the raw, full-power ones.

All three do the same job: divide your total by a curve fitted to bodyweight, so lifters of different sizes land on one scale. They disagree most at the extremes, which is exactly where the fitted curves have the least data.
